Copenhagen Strand – an intimate and elegant 4-star hotel in the city centre

Right next to Copenhagen’s harbour front lies the cosy old warehouse building, which today houses the hotel, Copenhagen Strand. The hotel is just a stone’s throw from Kongens Nytorv, Nyhavn, Strøget shopping street and Amalienborg Palace. Take the harbour bus and you'll be in front of the Opera House in just a few minutes. 

Hotel history and facilities

The old warehouse building dates back to 1869 and was once a paper and box factory. To give the old building and rooms a little extra natural light, small bay windows were later added to the rooms. You can also see the water from them.

The hotel is furnished in an elegant Nordic style inspired by beach and water. If you book a Suite View or Executive View room, you can enjoy lovely views of the harbour.

The hotel’s breakfast buffet is located in the hotel’s high-ceilinged basement. You are welcome to enjoy a drink or hold a meeting in our pleasant lobby area. You can also rent our private meeting room, Gammelholm, for eight people.

What to see in Copenhagen

It is easy to get around the city from Copenhagen Strand. The hotel is close to the metro and bus connections, the harbour bus and various canal tours.

So you can opt to stay inside the city and see some of the traditional tourist attractions, you might like to leave the city to visit, for example, the Louisiana Art Museum, and you might prefer to explore the local area. There are lots of small, charming places that the locals enjoy visiting.
